FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Read through commonly asked questions by clinic patients.

We may provide medication refills when medically appropriate. Short-term refills may be used to bridge care until you establish with a primary care provider, and some chronic medications may be managed through our chronic disease clinic. We do not prescribe or refill controlled substances, including narcotic pain medications, benzodiazepines, or stimulants.

Good City Health is a 501(c)(3) non-profit clinic, and there are no fees required for a patient to receive urgent care. However, we are thankful for any financial gift given by our patients upon receiving care, helping continue our daily operations. You can give a gift here.

We can evaluate and treat some acute dental and eye conditions, such as dental infections, pink eye, corneal abrasions, and styes, when medically appropriate. We do not provide dental procedures or comprehensive eye care, and more complex problems may require evaluation by a dentist, optometrist, or ophthalmologist.

Yes. Good City Health can evaluate and treat many suspected fractures, including splinting when appropriate. X-rays are not available on site, so patients who need imaging will be referred to an outside facility and may be responsible for the cost of the X-ray. Obvious deformities, open fractures, or other severe injuries should be evaluated in an emergency department.
